Reproductive efficiency and 1/29 Robertsonian translocation in the Romagnola breed [cattle - Emilia-Romagna - Marches (Italy)]

إنجليزي. [Reproductive data of 707 Romagnola breed cows, reared in the provinces of Bologna, Forli', Pesaro and Ravenna, were used. The subjects were divided in two groups: 164 cows with 1/29 Robertsonian translocation and 543 with normal karyotype. No statistically significant effect of 1/29 translocation was found on age at different calvings, while significant differences were observed for interval between calvings and number of real deliveries. Birth weight and ANABIC linear score were not statistically different between the two groups (41.14 vs. 40.65 kg and 84.03 vs. 83.89, respectively, for cows with and without 1/29 translocation)]

Sono stati utilizzati i dati riproduttivi di 707 bovine di razza Romagnola allevate nelle province di BO, FO, PS, RA che, sulla base dell'analisi del cariotipo, sono state suddivise in due gruppi: 164 bovine con traslocazione robertsoniana 1/29 e 543 con cariotipo normale. Non si e' avuto alcun effetto statisticamente significativo della traslocazione 1/29 sull'eta' al primo parto e ai parti successivi, mentre si sono avute differenze significative tra i due gruppi relativamente all'interparto e al numero totale dei parti. Peso alla nascita e punteggio ANABIC non hanno dato differenze statisticamente diverse tra i due gruppi (41,14 vs. 40,65 kg e 84,03 vs. 83,89, rispettivamente, per vacche con e senza traslocazione 1/29)
