Studies performed in 1995-96 concerned yielding, botanical and chemical composition of a meadow sward fertilized with dairy sewage at a rate of 600, 1200 and 1800 mm annually with the aim of biological utilization of the sewage. From among studied irrigation combinations, yields were mostly affected by irrigation with 1800 mm of sewage. Botanical composition of meadows was dominated by Dactylis glomerata L. in presenting Alopecurus pratensis L. Phalaris arrundinacea L. retreated and Festuca arundinacea L. remained on the control (0) and II (1200 mm) objects only. Irrigation with sewage increased the content of nitrogen, potassium and sodium in the sward
