Regional diversification of plant production in Poland in relation to the integration with the European Union

On the basis of statistical data concerning voivodeships formed as a result of the administrative division of Poland in 1999, the regional diversification of Polish farming has been presented and compared with the main indexes of the European Union countries. The western and northern part of the country have lower rate of employment in agriculture. However, both the average size of the farm and the cultivation area as well as corn and potato yields per one hectare are bigger in these parts of Poland
