Behaviour of a sprayer in a citrus grove

إنجليزي. Spray trials in a citrus grove using an air-carrier sprayer with mechanical atomization were carried out. The independent variables considered were the air flow delivered by the fan, the volume per hectare, the ground speed and the spraying side of the machine. The parameters considered were the percentage of the surface covered (CI), the number of impacts per square centimetre (N) and the dimensions of the drop prints as measured on targets arranged on the trees. From the results obtained it emerged that an increase in the airflow, until certain values, improves the uniformity of the distribution on the trees, with an increase in both N and CI, reduces the differences between the pages of the leaves and between the higher and lower parts of the canopy. Better uniformity was obtained with the higher volumes. The reduction in ground speed, with equal volumes sprayed, results in a greater value of N and an equal CI. Finally, the spraying side gives rise to significant differences on the values of CI

إيطالي. [Sono state condotte prove di irrorazione in un agrumeto utilizzando un'irroratrice ad atomizzazione meccanica. Le variabili indipendenti considerate erano la portata del ventilatore, il volume per ettaro, la velocita' di avanzamento e il lato di irrorazione della macchina. I parametri considerati erano la percentuale di superficie coperta (CI), il numero di impatti per centimetro quadrato (N) e le dimensioni delle impronte delle gocce misurate su bersagli sistemati sulle piante. Dai risultati ottenuti e' emerso che un incremento nella portata d'aria, fino a certi valori, migliora la l'uniformita' della distribuzione sulle piante, con un incremento sia di N, sia di CI, riduce le differenze fra le pagine fogliari e fra le parti superiore e inferiore della chioma. Con volumi piu' elevati e' stata ottenuta una migliore uniformita'. La riduzione della velocita' di avanzamento, a parita' di volume irrorato, si traduce in un valore maggiore di N e in un valore uguale di CI.
