Influence of date of thermal forcing of lilac (Syringa vulgaris L.) 'Mme Florent Stepman' on number and length of cut flowers

The influence of forcing date on number and quality of lilac 'Mme Florent Stepman' cut flowers was proved in this experiment: the best quality flowers were obtained in December. Length of panicles was connected with the date of forcing (November-December). The number of different panicle types depended on the forcing date, but on each of forcing dates double panicles grade extra dominated. November forcing of lilac took 20-21 days and December - 18-19; in early forcing date flowers opened after 4-6 days, in late after 3 days
