The problem of seed damages occuring at combine harvesting was considered on an example of pea seeds, Ergo cultivar. On the basis of theoretical analysis the reasons of arising seed damages were elucidated as a result of impacts of whirling machine elements. Considering the course of seed collision against a beater of threshing drum it was explained, why the moisture content of seeds does affect the mechanism of their damaging
