Grey mould control on Moscato bianco [Vitis vinifera L. - Botrytis cinerea - Piedmont]

During the years 1998 and 1999 some new botrycides (pyrimethanil, mepanipyrim, fenhexamid, cyprodinil + fludioxonil) have been compared in a Moscato bianco vineyard programming two treatments (B and Cf). During the first trial year, in spite of the higher rainfall, the attack on the untreated plot resulted very low, the lowest recorded in the these areas during the last twenty-five years, even if spread on a high number of grapes. Under those conditions, dicarboximides had no efficacy in reducing the disease in a relevant way, result which was obtained by the new fungicides. In the second trial the damage on the untreated plot resulted extremely high (95% grapes injured and an average of 47.7% of rotted berries) submitting the new chemicals tested to a severe trial. They succeeded in reducing the disease of a significant level, with substantially better results for the new active principles, such as pyrimethanil, mepanipyrim, fenexamid, cyprodinil + fludioxonil

Nel biennio 1998-99, in un vigneto di Moscato bianco, sono stati messi a confronto alcuni nuovi antibotritici (pyrimethanil, mepanipyrim, fenexamid, cyprodinil + fludioxonil) con le tradizionali dicarbossimidi, adottando un calendario a due trattamenti (B e Cf). Nel primo anno di prova, nonostante una piovosita' complessivamente piu' elevata, l'attacco sul testimone e' risultato molto lieve, il piu' basso registrato in queste zone negli ultimi 25 anni, anche se diffuso su un numero elevato di grappoli. In queste condizioni, le dicarbossimidi non sono riuscite a ridurre la malattia in modo significativo, risultato invece raggiunto dai nuovi fungicidi. Nel secondo anno di sperimentazioni, il danno sul testimone e' stato estremamente elevato (95% di grappoli colpiti ed una media del 47,7% di acini infetti) mettendo a dura prova i formulati saggiati, che sono riusciti comunque tutti a contenere la malattia in modo significativo, con risultati sostanzialmente migliori per i principi attivi piu' recenti
