The roses, 149 species and cultivars, were grown in field conditions. They were evaluated for blackspot susceptibility using disease index scale and divided into six groups of resistance. The highest level of resistance to Diplocarpon rosae was observed in Rosa rugosa hybrids: Hansa, Moje Hammarberg, Pink Grootendorst. Rosa rugosa Therese Bugnet and Max Graf and the following species: R. nitida, R. virginiana, R. pimpinellifolia, R. gallica Splendens were a little infected. The other park species and cultivars were classified as little resistant. Most of the tea hybrids, floribundas, and polyanthas and miniature roses were moderately susceptible, susceptible or very susceptible to blackspot
