Field trials carried out with captan against apple scab on apple and brown spot on pear [Malus pumila Mill. - Pyrus communis L. - Emilia-Romagna - Veneto]

إنجليزي. Products endowed with different chemical nature and mode of action were compared at 10-12 day intervals, under very high disease pressures. In 1998 a test on pear brown spot, captan at 128 g/hl a.i., displayed significantly higher efficacy than ziram at 162 g/hl, although insufficient for practical purposes. Best results were provided by procymidone at 50 g/hl and by a captan 128 g/hl + kresoxym-methyl 3.5 g/hl tank-mix, which was significantly more effective than straight kresoxym- methyl at 7 g/hl. In 1999 on apple scab, in two tests, kresoxym-methyl at 7 g/hl straight and at 3.5 g/hl tank-mixed to 100 g/hl captan were most effective treatments, followed by dithianon at 75 g/hl, captan at 128 g/hl and dichlofluanide at 75 g/hl, generally very close one another; mancozeb at 150 g/hl was always the least effective product. Captan turns out to be most cost-effective protective fungicide

In una prova nel 1998 su maculatura bruna, l'efficacia di captano a 128 g/hl, per quanto insufficiente ai fini pratici, e' stata significativamente superiore a quella di ziram a 162 g/hl. I migliori risultati sono stati forniti da procimidone a 50 g/hl e dalla miscela captano 128 g/hl + kresoxym-metil 3,5 g/hl, che e' risultata significativamente superiore a kresoxym-metil 7 g/hl impiegato da solo. Nel 1999 su ticchiolatura del melo, in due prove, kresoxym-metil a 7 g/hl e a 3,5 g/hl in miscela con captano a 100 g/hl sono risultate le tesi migliori, seguite da dithianon a 75 g/hl, dichlofluanide a 75 g/hl e captano a 100 g/hl, generalmente molto vicine tra loro; mancozeb a 150 g/hl e' risultato sempre il meno efficace. A parita' di risultati, captano risulta il fungicida di copertura meno costoso
