During a 10 year trial in Southern Sardinia, the productive behaviour and must characteristics of Chardonnay grape grafted on 6 different rootstocks (Rupestris du Lot, 420 A, 140 R, 775 P, 779 P and 1103 P) were evaluated. The average production per plant was greater in 1103 P and 775 P. Rootstocks does not seem to influence must characteristics, except for Mg, Ca and K content
