إنجليزي. The aim of this work was to study the dynamic of the vegetation evolution in a secondary succession on fallow land in mountain environment of external Alps. Using phytosociological and stand structural analysis we have studied the relationships existing between actual situation of fallows, phytosociological types, stand structure and time needed to perform the various phases. The main factors influencing the evolution seem to be time interval from the neglect of the land use, the presence of mother trees, the wild fires. The principal forest succession forecasts the passage through the phases of shrubs with birch and European mountain ash, young birch stand, mature birch stand, beech stand

Il presente lavoro si propone di studiare un caso particolare di successione secondaria che si verifica in terreni abbandonati: la dinamica della vegetazione in ex pascoli del piano montano, in ambiente esalpico. Attraverso l'esecuzione di rilievi fitosociologici e della struttura forestale si e' cercato di individuare quali siano i rapporti intercorrenti tra lo stato di abbandono del terreno, la tipologia fitosociologica presente, la struttura della copertura forestale che si e' sviluppata e i tempi necessari a che si sviluppino i diversi stadi. I principali fattori che influenzano l'evolvere della successione sembrano essere: l'intervallo di tempo trascorso dall'abbandono dell'utilizzazione dei territorio, la vicinanza o meno di piante madri, gli incendi. La successione forestale principale prevede il passaggio attraverso gli stadi di: arbusteto con betulla e sorbo degli uccellatori, giovane betuleto, betuleto adulto, faggeta
