Effects of nutrient solution salinity on soilless cultivated chinese cabbage [Brassica pekinensis Rupr.]

إنجليزي. Some aspects related to the use of saline water for Chinese cabbage in greenhouse cultivation have been considered. The aim of this work was to study the effects of salt stress (5.8 mS cm-1 vs 2.6 mS cm-1) in relation to: i) nitrogen availability in the nutrient solution (from 6 to 12 meq/l); ii) growing stage during which salt stress was determined (from 4 to 25 leaves vs from 25 to 70 leaves). The negative effects of salt stress seem to be partially related to the reduction in NO3- uptake due the presence of NaCl in the nutrient solution. On the other hand the higher nitrogen availability in the nutrient solution determined an increase in the element content but did not reduce the negative effects of salt stress. Salt stress determined similar effects whatever the stage during which the stress occurred

Lo scopo di questo lavoro consisteva nello studio degli effetti dello stress salino (5,8 mS cm*[-1) vs 2,6 mS cm*[-1)) in relazione a: i) disponibilita' di azoto nella soluzione nutritiva (da 6 a 12 meq/l); ii) stadio di crescita durante il quale si determinava lo stress salino (da 4 a 25 foglie vs da 25 a 70 foglie). Gli effetti negativi dello stress salino paiono essere parzialmente in relazione alla riduzione dell'assorbimento diNO3-, dovuta alla presenza di NaCl nella soluzione. Dall'altro lato, la maggiore disponibilita' di azoto nella soluzione nutritiva determinava un incremento nel contenuto dell'elemento, ma non riduceva gli effetti negativi dello stress salino.
