إنجليزي. Four different planting densities (5, 2.50, 1.66 or 1.25 plants/square m) and two methods of plant establishments (direct sowing and plug transplanting) were tested. Seed production ranged from 3.3 t ha*[-1) by using high plant densities to 2-4 t ha*[-1) at 1.25 plants square m. Planting at a density of 2.5 and 1.66 plants/square m resulted respectively in 2.7 and 2.4 t ha*[-1) of okra seed. Direct seeding gave lower yields (2.4 t ha*[-1)) than plug transplanting (2.6 t ha*[-1))
