Evaluation was made of the content of cooper, iron, zinc and mangenesse in the soft tissues of 38 red deer and 49 roe deer from the central-eastern macro-region of Poland. The analysis of the results proved that the highest mangenesse concentration was found in the liver of roe deer from the central-eastern macro-region of Poland. Because the iron and mangenesse are antagonists, this result ceresponds to a low level of iron in this tissue. A silimar tendency could be observed in both specimes between zinc copper, especjally in sceletal muscles
