The scale of royal jelly production in Poland is certainly much lower than in China, where its intensification is a consequence of honeybee selection carried out for many years. A great supply of inexpensive Chinese royal jelly almost completly inhibited its production in Poland. An analysis of costs at model apiaries shows that royal jelly production may be profitable on condition taht 1 kg costs at least PLN 550 (USD 140). Its profitability increase when the product is sold as e.g. a mixture with honey. It is still possible to increase the sales volume of royal jelly in Poland, and the profitability of apiary production
