Structure and physical as well as mechanical properties of the waste polymers PA6+PP mixture - ecological and applicational aspect

Possibilities of utilization of the modern mixing compatibilizer (chemically modified polypropylene) in the system of waste thermoplastic polymers thermodynamically immiscible PA6 (T-27) + PP (J-400) are discussed in the work. Out of the waste polymers, by method of injection, the samples of new polymer composites were made. Physical and mechanical properties of these samples were then tested. Tested were: water absorptivity, strength, impact strength, hardness, crystallity degree and crystallites size, thermodynamic properties (DSC) and (SEM) in the systems PA6 waste + PPm (TPAR504), PAwaste (T-27) + PPwaste (J-400) + PPm, PA6waste (T-27) + PPwaste (J-400). As a result of these testings a generally positive influence of this compatibilizer was stated on miscibility of waste polymers, that is of polyamide 6 with the addition of isotactic polypropylene and on changes of some strength parameters in relation to the system PA6 + PP (without compatibilizer) and on thermal strength increase as well as on decrease of water absorptivity
