[Determination of heavy metals in agricultural crops and in soil treated with sewage sludge and compost. Results of a two-year trial]

إنجليزي. This paper deals with a two-year trial with use of sewage sludge and compost employed at rates exceeding the threshold limits of Italian Law (D. Lgs 99/92) and data are shown for yields, quality of products and Zn, Cu, Pb, Ni and Cd content in agricultural crops (succession of wheat - sugar beet) and in soil (silt-loam with subalkaline pH). For wheat grain, good yield values were obtained for the treatment with compost; for sugar beet, the addition of organic materials has well influenced the yields of leaves and collars, but not of roots. The addition of urea to plots with sewage sludge and/or compost has depressed yield of wheat; for sugar beet, a qualitative deterioration for sucrose, sugar and purity was observed. For wheat, the concentrations of Zn and Cu were higher in grain than in straw; the opposite was observed for Ni and Pb (non essential metals). The calculation of transfer factor values has pointed out the importance of this ecotoxicological parameter, suitable for the evaluation of the environmental hazard for metals in the soil/plant system

Questo lavoro riporta i risultati di prove biennali con uso di fanghi di depurazione e compost a dosi eccedenti i limiti di legge nazionali; vengono riportati i dati ottenuti su rese produttive, qualita' dei prodotti e contenuti di Zn, Cu, Pb, Ni e Cd in colture agrarie (successione frumento tenero - barbabietola da zucchero) e nel terreno (franco-limoso a pH subalcalino). Per il frumento, le migliori rese produttive in granella sono state osservate nelle tesi con il compost; per la barbabietola, l'apporto di materiali organici ha influenzato positivamente le rese in foglie e colletti, ma non quella in radici. L'integrazione con urea alle tesi con fanghi e compost ha depresso le rese per il frumento e per la barbabietola si e' osservato un peggioramento qualitativo per saccarosio, zucchero e purezza. Per il frumento le concentrazioni di Zn e Cu sono risultate maggiori nella granella rispetto alla paglia; l'opposto e' stato osservato per Ni e Pb (elementi non essenziali). Il calcolo dei fattori di trasferimento ha evidenziato l'importanza di tale parametro ecotossicologico nella valutazione della pericolosita' ambientale dei metalli nel sistema suolo/pianta
