La investigación se desarrolla en dos veredas ubicadas en el municipio de Choachí-Cundinamarca, Colombia; donde se propone el cálculo de los módulos de consumo de agua, considerados como una herramienta importante para asignar caudales o volúmenes de agua a una persona, para el desarrollo de sus actividades (Ríos, Escobar, & Palacio, 2010), partiendo de esto se establece el objetivo principal de desarrollar una metodología que se adecúe a las características y condiciones reales del área de estudio. Para ello se hace una recopilación de información secundaria y 58 encuestas (total de viviendas habitadas, presentes en el área de estudio) complementadas con aforos volumétricos en la totalidad de grifos existentes en cada predio. Como resultado, se logra estimar el consumo diario de agua por persona (180 L/día); para el sector agrícola se determina el consumo de agua, con respecto a la demanda hídrica de cada cultivo –calculada con base en información secundaria y la aplicación del programa CROPWAT 8.0-; por último, para el sector pecuario se establecieron los requerimientos hídricos para cada animal respecto a información secundaria de diferentes autores y autoridades ambientales. Un producto importante del proyecto, es el factor de pérdidas por sector, que fue definido con base en la revisión bibliográfica. Finalmente, los módulos establecidos para los tres sectores (doméstico, agrícola y pecuario), se ajustaron con respecto a las necesidades y costumbres de la población identificadas durante la fase de campo con el fin de obtener valores más ajustados a la realidad

The research is carried out in two villages located in the municipality of Choachí-Cundinamarca, Colombia; where the calculation of water consumption modules is proposed, considered as an important tool for assigning water flows or volumes to a person, for the development of their activities (Ríos et al., 2010), based on this establishes the main objective of developing a methodology that is adapted to the characteristics and real conditions of the study area. To do this, a secondary information collection and 58 surveys (total of inhabited dwellings present in the study area) are completed, complemented by volumetric gauging in all existing faucets in each property. As a result, it was possible to estimate the daily water consumption per person (180 L/day); for the agricultural sector, the water consumption is determined with respect to the water demand of each crop -calculated based on secondary information and the application of the CROPWAT 8.0 program-; by last, for the livestock sector, the water requirements for each animal were established with respect to secondary information from different authors and environmental authorities. An important product of the project is the loss factor by sector, which was defined based on the literature review. Finally, the modules established for the three sectors (domestic, agricultural and livestock) were adjusted with respect to the needs and customs of the population identified during the field phase in order to obtain values more adjusted to reality.
