Stevens, Laura J. | Stoner, Rosemary B.
Abstract: The knowledge of how foods and combinations of foods can affect individuals is growing dramatically. Children are particularly prone to showing their sensitivity in behavioral problems: Hyperactivity, hypoactivity, allergies, irritability and many more. Once the source of the problem is identified through careful testing and the Common Foods Elimination Diet, child behavior can improve rapidly. The most common offenders are cow's milk, chocolate, cola, eggs, citrus, flavors and preservatives, salicylates, wheat and sugar. A step-by-step diet can be followed, using recipes provided, to identify the causes of physical and behavioral problems.
