New York State Poultry Industry Coordinated Effort records, 1954-1968

The New York State Poultry Industry Coordinated Effort Records consist of bylaws, articles of incorporation, and subsequent amendments. There are materials related to special studies regarding federal Turkey Marketing Orders (1961-1962) and freight rates for feedstuffs set by the Interstate Commerce Commission and Eastern Rail Carriers (1964-1966). Records of the federation's member organizations (New York State Poultry Council, SPICE Marketing Cooperatives, New York State Egg Distributors Association, and the Poultry Improvement Board of New York, Inc.) are also included and contain meeting minutes, membership and officers lists, financial records, and records of actions taken to improve the financial situation of the industry. A case history of the Ralston Purina Quality Egg Marketing Program (1945) is also included in the collection.
