Kenneth L. Williams Papers. Special Collections, USDA National Agricultural Library.
Kenneth L. Williams was born in 1928 on his family's dairy farm in Vineyard, Utah. Williams attended Brigham Young University while working as a farm hand. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service (SCS) hired him as a student trainee following his freshman year. After earning a bachelor of science degree in agronomy, Williams joined the SCS full-time. During his 31-year career, he advanced to positions of increasing responsibility while working at SCS locations throughout the United States. The culmination of Williams' career came with his assignment as Deputy Chief of Planning and Evaluation for the agency at the national headquarters in Washington, D.C.
