Abstract: The Mississippi certification training manual for the Demonstration and Research Pest Control category examination provides information on pest management, pesticides for agricultural animal pest control, herbicides for plant disease and weed control, herbicide persistence, phytotoxicity, equipment calibration, record keeping, pesticide toxicity, suggestions for minimizing wildlife losses due to pesticides, and emergency procedures for dealing with accidental spills of Class B poisons. Includes calibration conversion factors, abbreviations, formulas, and tables; sprayer, pump and hydraulic system diagrams; lists of insecticides and their toxicities to bees; sample record keeping charts; multiple choice test review questions; and an explanation of required pesticide licenses, permits and certificates in Mississippi.
