Microbial control of vector insects
1990
Davidson, E.W.
A small number of bacteria, fungi, and nematodes are close to practical use as microbial control agents of vector insects. One bacterium, Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis, has been very successful in large-scale mosquito and black fly control programs. The potential usefulness and problems of microbials in integrated mosquito control programs are discussed.
