Insecticide resistance in the pear psylla
2002
Buès, R. | Boudinhon, L.
Insecticide resistance in the pear psylla was studied by topical application on larvae and spraying on eggs and larvae reared on pear seedlings. The tests on final stage larvae showed that only abamectin and amitraz had effectiveness values higher than 95%. Deltamethrin and cypermethrin have only low effectiveness whatever the stage. Although the ovicidal effectiveness of winter treatments using petroleum oils is relatively low, their action is prolonged on neonate larvae and thus it is possible to conceive another approach to post-winter treatments, to replace the nitric colorant (DNOC) which is now prohibited.
