The Amazon forest, in recent years, has been suffering from the loss of areas due to the advance of deforestation linked to the region's development policies. Thus, the objective of this work was to study the floristic composition and the diversity of forest remnants in the area of influence of the UHE Tucuruí reservoir and to analyze their patterns of similarities. Four plots of 100 m x 100 m (1 ha) were installed, divided into 25 sub-plots of 20 m x 20 m, in each sub-plot, all individuals with DBH ≥ 10 cm were recorded. Diversity was calculated using the Shannon Index and Pielou Equability. Similarity was estimated using Jaccard and Sorensen indices. For the four inventoried hectares, a total of 1,720 individuals were found, distributed in 49 families, 156 genera and 305 species. The number of families and species between plots ranged from 32 to 43, and 76 to 156, respectively. Among the most representative families in number of species, Fabaceae and Mimosaceae showed greater prominence in general. Sapotaceae, Chrysobalanaceae and Lecythidaceae were the most representative only in plot III. Plot III presented the highest diversity value (4.40) and plot I the lowest (3.55). Among the plots, the highest similarity values were recorded for I and II and the lowest for I and III. The results showed that the studied remnants showed differences regarding the number of families and species, although they are inserted in the same floristic matrix. Keywords: floristics, similarity, diversity.
