Instability of solutions of amylose-iodine complex in concentrated calcium chloride
1974
Dintzis, F.R.
Low concentrations of amylose-iodine complex, in general, are insoluble in aqueous concentrated calcium chloride. However, lightly substituted hydroxyethyl amylose-iodine complex is soluble and stable in aqueous concentrated calcium chloride for at least a few days. The color stability of some iodine complexes of derivatized amylose and starch is observed to be time dependent.
