Amyloidosis of the Islets of Langerhans in a Crab-Eating Monkey (Macaca fascicularis)

A mature male crab-eating monkey (Macaca fascicularis), killed in an acute toxic study, had idiopathic isolated amyloidosis in the pancreatic islets of Langerhans. Such a lesion has been reported previously only in man and the domestic cat.
