Yield Response, Residual Nitrogen and Clover Content of an Irrigated Grass-Clover Pasture as Affected by Various Rates and Frequencies of Nitrogen Application
1962
Maas, E. F. | Webster, G. R. | Gardner, E. H. | Turley, R. H.
SynopsisGreatest yield response occurred in the month of application while the residual effect in the second month was small. Dividing the N among more frequent applications gave greater uniformity of yield but no increase. Frequency of N applications had no effect on the N content of the forage or the percentage clover. An increase in the N application rate increased the N content of the forage in spite of a reduction in the clover content.
