The essential oil of chamomil roots has been investigated. Three sesquiterpenoids could be isolated and characterized by their retention time in reference to authentic substances and by their mass spectre. These are α-farnesene, β-farnesene and bisabololoxid A. Other sesquiterpenoids and polyentype substances are present and will be identified later.
