A technical report discusses the analysis, metabolism, tolerance, risks, and regulatory aspects of pesticide residues in food and animal feed. Details are provided concerning their metabolism in plants and animals, the validation of analytical procedures, animal feeding studies, and the importance of monitoring. Data requirements being implemented by EPA in its tolerance-setting procedures also are discussed.
