Present study evaluated the effect of dietary inclusion of enzymes (Enzymex) and probiotic (Yeamark) and their combination on performance index, nutrient utilization, sensory characteristic, glucose and serum cholesterol over a period of 6 weeks. Day old broiler chicks (n=360) were randomly assigned to eight treatment groups, each with 3 replicates. The first treatment was designated as control (T₁) without any supplement, while in treatments T₂, T₃ and T₄ enzymes was provided as 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 g per kg of feed, respectively, in treatment T₅ probiotic was added as 0.25 g per kg and in treatment T₆, T₇ and T₈ cocktail of enzymes as in T₂, T₃ and with probiotic as 0.25 g per kg through feed. Significant improvement (p<0.05) was observed in performance index, nutrient ᵀ4 utilization, sensory characteristic and HDL cholesterol and significant (P<0.05) decline in the glucose, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride in broilers under supplementary groups as compared to control groups. The results of the present study indicated that it is possible to produce lean meat to an extent by manipulating diets which lead to better performance index of broilers during overall period, which led to release of more nutrients which helped in absorption, assimilation and nutrient utilization.
