The experiment was conducted in the farmer's field in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District during the year 2011–12. This trial was laid out in a split-split plot design with three replications. Twenty year old uniform sized trees of mango cv. Imampasand spaced at 9 x9 m were selected for this experiment. Paclobutrazol (Cultar-23 SC) was applied as a soil drench at 2.5 ml/m⁻² of canopy diameter. The treatment was imposed at the third week of different months viz., April, May, June, July, Augustand September. The results indicated that soil drenching of paclobutrazol at 2.5ml/m⁻² of canopy diameter during the month of May for off season and August for the main season was effective in enhancing flowering earliness, increasing number of inflorescence, and reducing number of days required for flowering, flowering to fruit set, fruit set and yield tree⁻¹.
