To investigate the effect of three soilless media on growth and development of two types of Lilium (Asiatic and Oriental hybrids, cultivars ‘Gironde’ and ‘Cassandra’ respectively), a factorial experiment with completely randomized design of three replications was conducted. The media were 100% coco peat, 50% gravel + 50% sand and 40% peat + 60% perlite. Number of leaves, plant height, number of flowers, flower diameter, time of flowering, flower vase life and leaf chlorophyll content traits were measured. There were significant differences between two Lilium cultivars in term of number of leaves, plant height, time of flowering and flower vase life. In general, the media of 50% gravel + 50% sand was equal compared with two other media in most of the measured traits. Interaction effects between Lilium type and media were not significant in the measured traits.
