Job satisfaction of South Carolina dietitians
1989
Rehn, B.L. | Stallings, S.F. | Wolman, P.G. | Cullen, R.W.
A major nationwide survey of registered dietitians conducted by Agriesti-Johnson and Broski in 1982 found that job satisfaction scores of dietitians were low in comparison with available norms. No differences in total job satisfaction scores were found when marital status, age, years in present position, and other selected parameters were considered. All of the respondents in the national survey were members of The American Dietetic Association (ADA). There was no indication of the number of dietitians sampled in particular geographic regions. The present study assessed the level of job satisfaction of dietitians in South Carolina and compared findings with those from the 1982 study. The methods of Agriesti-Johnson and Broski were replicated except that an additional questionnaire was used to collect demographic and other pertinent data.
