This work is aimed at evaluating the correlations between production and quality characteristics of yellow passionfruit in southern Brazil, city of Pelotas/RS. The selection 'Ovalado Grande', developed for mild climate, was used. The planting, at 1600 plants ha-1, was carried out in October 2011. Vines were trained on espalier trellises. Drip irrigation was provided and flowers were pollinated manually. The experiment was divided into variables of production: productivity, production plant-1, number of fruit plant-1, number of fruit ha-1 and fruit weight; and physicochemical variables: fruit length, fruit width, pericarp thickness, pulp yield, soluble solids, citric acid, skin color and the ratio soluble solids/citric acid. There were significant correlations between productivity and production plant-1 (r=0.99), productivity and number of fruit ha-1 (r=0.93), fruit weight and number of fruit plant-1 (r=-0.88), fruit weight and number of fruit ha-1 (r=-0.89). For the physicochemical fruit variables, there were significant correlations between soluble solids and fruit length (r=0.90), and between pericarp thickness and fruit width (r=-0.91).
