Three new species, Glyptotendipes (Glyptotendipes) fumilatus, G. (G.) ingenius and G. (G.) validens are described. A short account of habitat, construction of dwellings, food and feeding of the larva and emergence of the adult has also been appended. A new dichotomous key to the Indian species is provided.
