Nutrition education campaign launched

Three phases of a mass media nutrition education campaign which is intended to produce awareness of the nutritional status of Jamaicans and the means whereby existing nutritional problems may be alleviated are described. The major thrust of the program will be antenatal and postnatal care, the reduction of malnutrition among children from birth to 4 years of age, and the reduction of anemia in pregnant and lactating women. Materials will include brochures, films, charts, and radio and television spots.
