Putievsky, E. | Ravid, U. | Sanderovich, D.
Sage plants (Salvia officinalis L.), seed-grown from wild populations, collected along the Adriatic coast, were cultivated. The morphological features, essential oil content and composition of these plants were found to be similar to plants growing in the wild. Therefore, it appears that the herbal characters are under genetic control. This means that genetic variability could be used for selection and breeding purposes.
