PB1 (male line) and PB2 (female line) are the two colored broiler parent lines used for meat purpose. The present investigation was aimed at establishing complete picture of hematological and biochemical norms in blood and serum respectively in both parent line with respect to age, sex and plumage color pattern at 25-weeks of age of domestic birds (Gallus Gallus domesticus). Blood, serum and tissue samples from 72 birds (48 color plumage birds and 24 white plumage birds) were used. The results revealed that the values of TEC, hemoglobin, PCV were found to differ significantly due to effect of age within a sex and due to effect of sex at a particular age group. Similarly heterophil, lymphocyte and eosinophil were found to differ significantly due to effect of age within a sex. Total protein, creatinine, total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C, VLDL-C, triglycerides, ALP, LDH, calcium, liver glycogen and muscle glycogen differed significantly due to effect of age within a sex and effect of sex at a particular age group. All the hematological and biochemical parameters in the present study were found to be similar with respect to strain and plumage color pattern in PB1 and PB2 birds. The values for monocytes, basophil, glucose, BUN, AST, ALT and phosphorus were found to similar between age, sex, strain and plumage color pattern.
