Über lamellare Strukturproteide aus Chloroplasten verschiedener Pflanzen
2014
Weber, Peter
From chloroplasts of Antirrhinum majus strain 50, Spinacia oleracea, Allium porrum and Chlorella pyrenoidosa the lamellar structure proteins were prepared and their amino acid composition was determined. The amino acid composition of these proteins is quite similar. Specific differences in the amino acid composition of the structure proteins of the various species were demonstrated for single amino acids. Chlorella has a higher alanine content and Antirrhinum a lower lysine content than the other species investigated. Moreover two mutants of Antirrhinum majus, defective in chlorophyll production, one a gene mutant and the other a plastom mutant, were investigated. No differences in the amino acid content of the lamellar structure proteins in the chloroplasts could be detected. The structure proteins of the ribosomes have another amino acid composition than those of the chloroplasts.
