El presente trabajo se enfocó en realizar una propuesta adecuación y manejo catfriendly en la clínica veterinaria UDES, Sede Valledupar, debido a que en la actualidad no se realizaba este manejo en la clínica. El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue realizar una propuesta de manejo clínico amigable con los pacientes felinos, donde se realizó un protocolo con las pautas generales de cómo abordar estos pacientes en consulta, unas capacitaciones y un folleto catfriendly con recomendaciones generales de como enriquecer el hogar de estar pacientes, así como una propuesta de adecuación de un consultorio exclusivo para pacientes felinos. El enfoque de la metodología es cualitativo, debido a que se pretende estudiar las características del objeto de estudio (Esteban Nieto, 2018). Y a su vez la investigación es de tipo práctica, debido a que se enfoca en la aplicación de conocimientos adquiridos, donde se involucran problemas teóricos y prácticos a partir de investigaciones básicas aplicadas (Narváez Trejo y Villegas Salas, 2014). Finalmente se logró entregar y socializar con la comunidad académico-administrativa el protocolo de manejo catfriendly y el folleto, también se capacito al personal y se dejaron las recomendaciones para la adecuación del consultorio clínico exclusivo para pacientes felinos en la clínica veterinaria UDES, sede Valledupar. The present work focused on making a proposal for the adaptation and catfriendly management in the veterinary clinic UDES, Valledupar, because currently this management was not carried out in the clinic. The main objective of this work was to make a proposal of friendly clinical management with feline patients, where a protocol was made with general guidelines on how to approach these patients in consultation, some training and a catfriendly brochure with general recommendations on how to enrich the home of these patients, as well as a proposal for the adequacy of an exclusive office for feline patients. The approach of the methodology is qualitative, due to the fact that it is intended to study the characteristics of the object of study (Esteban Nieto, 2018). And in turn, the research is of a practical type, because it focuses on the application of acquired knowledge, where theoretical and practical problems are involved from basic applied research (Narváez Trejo and Villegas Salas, 2014). Finally, the catfriendly management protocol and the brochure were delivered and socialized with the academic administrative community, the staff was also trained and recommendations were made for the adequacy of the clinical office exclusively for feline patients at the UDES veterinary clinic, Valledupar headquarters.
