إنجليزي. Geocharidius integripennis was described by Bates (1882) with some specimens distributed among the museums of London and Paris. Errors independently generated by different authors (Jeannel 1936, 1963; Vigna Taglianti 1973; Erwin 1982) are corrected. Geocharidius tagliantii Erwin, 1982, is established as a new synonym of G. integripennis. The female genital of this species is described, and nomination of the valid type series is presented.

El estudio separado de este material por diferentes autores (Jeannel 1936, 1963; Vigna Taglianti 1973; Erwin 1982) conllevó a una serie de errores que ahora se subsanan. Se concluye que Geocharidius tagliantii Erwin, 1982 es una nueva sinónima de G. integripennis. Se describen los genitales femeninos de esta especie y se completa el trabajo con el establecimiento de la serie típica válida.
