Efeito de bixina sobre os parâmetros bioquímicos séricos em ratos | Bixin effect on the serum parameters biochemical in mice

A bixina é muito utilizada na indústria de alimentos como corante, principalmente na forma de extratos que a contém. Com o objetivo de identificar os efeitos da bixina sobre os parâmetros bioquímicos séricos, foi conduzido um ensaio biológico, com 96 ratos (48 machos e 48 fêmeas) (Rattus norvergicus), variedade albinus, da raça Wistar, recém-desmamados, com 24 dias de idade. Os animais foram distribuídos em quatro grupos de 24, sendo que o grupo 1 não recebeu a substância-teste, os outros três grupos receberam a substância-teste que era um corante utilizado na indústria de alimentos que contém 28% de bixina; grupo 2 (70 mg) , o grupo 3 (350 mg) e o grupo 4 (700 mg). Eles receberam água e alimento “ad libitum”, a temperatura ambiente variando entre 20 e 24 0C e com iluminação controlada com 12 horas de claro e escuro por um período de cento e oitenta dias. A administração do extrato foi feita diariamente, por via oral, misturada à ração. O extrato foi caracterizado através da determinação dos teores de proteína (5,33%), cinzas (2,04%), umidade (5,49%), extrato etéreo (50,49%), pH (2,62%), ponto de fusão (1800), teor de bixina após 12 meses sob refrigeração (20,8%). Pelo primeiro ensaio biológico foi verificado que a bixina tem efeito hipocolesterolêmico em fêmeas e em machos reduziu os níveis de triacilgliceróis, teve efeito hiperglicemiante nas fêmeas (30 mês), embora os níveis do grupo controle, tanto de machos quanto de fêmeas, estivessem alto devido à anestesia com éter realizada para sacrificar os animais. Houve alteração nos níveis séricos de fósforo nos grupos das fêmeas no 60 mês, também quanto à relação Ca:P houve alteração nos grupos das fêmeas. Os níveis de AST e ALT encontraram-se aumentados, inclusive no grupo controle de ambos os sexos, devido à intoxicação por cobre, a bixina mostrou-se capaz de ajudar a regenerar as lesões hepáticas. Os níveis de uréia e creatinina também se mostraram alterados, talvez devido à intoxicação por cobre que pode ter levado a uma disfunção renal, interferindo no balanço nitrogenado. No segundo ensaio, onde foi feito o teste de tolerabilidade cutânea, foram comparados os sítios de aplicação da bixina com os sítios controles e pode-se verificar que não houve alterações cutâneas relativas à eritema, escaras e edema em nenhum dos tempos observados. Diante dos parâmetros avaliados podemos concluir que a substância não apresentou nenhuma alteração tóxica e teve efeitos farmacológicos.

For the first biological assay it was verified that the bixin has effect hipocholesterolemic in females and in males it reduced the triacylglicerol levels, had effect hyperglicemic in the females (30 month), although the levels of the group control, so much of males as of females, they were loud due to the anesthesia with ether accomplished to sacrifice the animals. There was alteration in the serum phosphorus levels in the groups of the females in the 60 month, also with relationship to the relationship Ca:P there was alteration in the groups of the females. The levels of AST and ALT were increased, besides in the group control of both sexes, due to the intoxication for copper, the bixin was shown capable to help to regenerate the hepatic lesions. The urea levels and creatinin she also showed altered, perhaps due to the intoxication for copper that might have taken to a renal dysfunction, interfering in the nitrogen balance. In the second assay, where it was made the test of cutaneous tolerability, the sites of application of the bixin were compared with the sites controls and it can be verified that there were not relative cutaneous alterations to the erythema, escaras and edema in none of the observed times. Before the appraised parameters we can conclude that the substance didn't present any toxicant alteration and had effects farmacologics.
