Danos causados por Piezodorus guildinii (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae) em sementes de soja, em Gurupi, Tocantins

Foram avaliados danos quantitativos e qualitativos causados pelo percevejo Piezodorus guildinii (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae) em sementes de soja na Estação Experimental da Fundação Universidade do Tocantins, em Gurupi, Tocantins. O experimento foi desenvolvido em talhão de 500 m², semeado com a variedade MSOY-109, de acordo com recomendações técnicas para a cultura, onde foram instaladas gaiolas (0,6 x 0,6 x 1,0 m), cobertas com tela de náilon, contendo duas fileiras de soja. As plantas foram infestadas com 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 e 10 percevejos por metro de fileira de soja, no estádio reprodutivo R1, e assim mantidas até a colheita. Exceto na testemunha, nos demais tratamentos (níveis populacionais de P. guildinii) a retenção foliar foi muito alta (> 70% de hastes verdes). O aumento dos níveis de infestação por este percevejo reduziu o peso da semente e o rendimento (kg/gaiola), sem produção a partir de dois e quatro insetos/metro de fileira.
اظهر المزيد [+] اقل [-]This study assessed the quantitative and qualitative damages caused by the stinkbug Piezodorus guildinii (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae) on soybeans. The experiment was carried out at the Experimental Station of the University of Tocantins Foundation, in Gurupi, Tocantins, Brazil. The experiment had 500 m² of sowed plants of the cultivar MSOY-109 according to the technical recommendations for this culture. The soybean plants were kept in cages (0.6 x 0,6 x 1,0 m) and placed in the field. Every cage was covered with nylon screen and contained two rows of soybean plants. The plants inside the cages were infested with adults of P. guildinii, in the reproductive stage R1, in different group sizes (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 stinkbugs/meter) and kept in the field until the end of the crop cycle. Foliate retention was higher (> 70% of green stems) in all population levels than in the control (0% of green stems). The increase of infestation levels affected negatively the seed weight and yield. Damages were severe with no seed production from four-stinkbugs/meter of soybean. Infestation level of stinkbugs in soybean fields should not be higher than two to four insects per meter.
