Evaluación del sistema para captación, conducción, almacenamiento y calidad de agua proveniente de un manantial de fondo en el barrio Praderas del Ilaló perteneciente a la parroquia La Merced, cantón Quito : calidad del agua.

El enfoque del proyecto se orientó hacia la evaluación y propuesta de tratamiento del agua destinada al sistema de captación, conducción y almacenamiento en el barrio Praderas del Ilaló. Con el propósito de justificar la necesidad de acceso al agua en los hogares, se implementó un sistema sencillo con una desinfección deficiente. Se consideró la dificultad de conseguir una nueva fuente, la falta de recursos para un buen tratamiento de potabilización y la necesidad de verificar el estado de las fuentes de abastecimiento que son superficial y subterránea, en los que se realizaron diversos análisis, incluyendo el agua que se distribuye para consumo en el barrio. En el plan de muestreo para los distintos puntos, se tomaron en cuenta parámetros como coliformes y metales, lo que causa un potencial daño a la salud humana. Para confirmar la idoneidad del agua para ser captada, en el caso de las fuentes de abastecimiento, y para asegurar su consumo seguro (agua almacenada y desinfectada), se consultaron las tablas establecidas por las normativas TULSMA (agua cruda) y la INEN 1108 (agua para consumo humano). Como solución al resultado de análisis del agua, se propuso el tratamiento del agua cruda en diversas etapas, junto con las operaciones correspondientes.

The focus of the project was oriented towards the evaluation and proposal of water treatment destined for the catchment, conduction and storage system in the Praderas del Ilaló neighborhood. In order to justify the need for access to water in homes, a simple system with poor disinfection was implemented. The difficulty of obtaining a new source, the lack of resources for a good purification treatment and the need to verify the state of the sources of supply, which are surface and underground, were considered, in which various analyses were carried out, including the water that is distributed for consumption in the neighborhood. In the sampling plan for the different points, parameters such as coliforms and metals were taken into account, which causes potential harm to human health. To confirm the suitability of the water to be captured, in the case of the supply sources, and to ensure its safe consumption (stored and disinfected water), the tables established by the TULSMA (raw water) and INEN 1108 (water for human consumption) regulations were consulted. As a solution to the result of water analysis, the treatment of raw water in various stages, together with corresponding operations, was proposed.
