Propuesta de diseño preliminar de la captación , conducción, almacenamiento y tratamiento de agua para consumo humano en el barrio Virgen de Lourdes , parroquia la Merced , cantón Quito : evaluación de la calidad de agua cruda del manantial de ladera.

El presente proyecto tuvo como finalidad la evaluación de la calidad del agua cruda proveniente del manantial de ladera en el barrio Virgen de Lourdes, actualmente se desconoce el estado del agua cruda, es ocupada por los moradores cuando el servicio de agua potable es suspendido. Al momento de consumir el agua lo primero que hacen es hervirle y para otras actividades como la ganadería o uso personal la usa tal y como esta.Se realizaron dos visitas al manantial de ladera, la primera visita, fue para elegir el punto adecuado para el muestreo, caracterización del manantial y para saber su ubicación exacta. En la segunda visita ya se procedió a realizar tanto los análisis de parámetros físicos, los cuales fueron in situ y con la ayuda de un multiparámetro, para el análisis de parámetros químicos como microbiológicos, se llevó a cabo en el Laboratorio de Docencia de la facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Ambiental. (LDIA). Cabe recalcar que los estudios se realizaron siguiendo la metodología establecida en el plan de muestreo.Una vez que se obtuvieron los resultados finales de los diferentes parámetros se procedió a comparar con la normativa correspondiente, libro VI del Texto Unificado de Legislación Secundario del Medio Ambiente para el agua cruda (TULSMA 2015). Se concluyó que la mayoría de los parámetros analizados cumplen con la normativa previamente mencionada, excepto la DBO y DQO, esto provoca que el agua cruda contenga un nivel alto de materia orgánica.Se evaluó el índice de Calidad de agua, la cual dio como resultado que el agua cruda del manantial de ladera que ocupan los moradores del barrio es de buena calidad. Por lo cual no existe mayor riesgo al momento de ser consumida.

The purpose of this project was to evaluate the quality of the raw water coming from the hillside spring in the Virgen de Lourdes neighborhood, currently the state of the raw water is unknown, it is occupied by the residents when the drinking water service is suspended. When consuming the water, the first thing they do is boil it and for other activities such as livestock or personal use, use it as it is.Two visits were made to the hillside spring, the first visit was to choose the right point for sampling, characterization of the spring and to know its exact location. In the second visit, both the analysis of physical parameters were carried out, which were in situ and with the help of a multi-parameter, for the analysis of chemical and microbiological parameters, was carried out in the Teaching Laboratory of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. (LDIA).Once the final results of the different parameters were obtained, they were compared with the corresponding regulations, book VI of the Unified Text of Secondary Environmental Legislation for raw water (TULSMA 2015). It was concluded that most of the parameters analyzed comply with the previously mentioned regulations, except for BOD and COD, this causes the raw water to contain a high level of organic matter.The Water Quality Index was evaluated, which resulted in the raw water from the hillside spring occupied by the residents of the neighborhood being of good quality. Therefore, there is no greater risk at the time of consumption.
