Effect of controlled deficit irrigation on the yield of the coriander and its association with chives | Efecto del riego deficitario controlado sobre el rendimiento del cilantro y su asociación con el cebollín

Deficit irrigation is an alternative that allows the rational use of water applied with minimal impact on production.  The objective was to evaluate the effect of deficit irrigation on the yield of coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) sown in monoculture (CM) and in association (A) with chives (Allium fistulosum L.) (CAC). The experimental design was completely randomized with five repetitions in 2x4 factorial arrangement of the treatments. Four irrigation sheets (I) were applied: 100, 80, 60 and 40 % of the substrate water retention. Fifty days after sowing, the height of the bunch in coriander and of the tiller in chives (HB, HT), length of root (LR), number of plants per bunch (NPB), bulbils per tiller (NBT) and leaves per plant (NLP); and in each bunch and tiller: aerial dry biomass (ADB), roots, surface and total dry biomass (RDB, SDB, TDB); and root-aerial part ratio dry biomass (RARDB), were evaluated. The analysis showed significant differences on the variables studied, except NBT and RARDB in chives. In coriander, NPB depended on I; RDB on A; LR, NLP and NLB on Lr or A; while HB, ADB, SDB, and RARDB on the interaction of I with A. HB was greater in CM+Lr=100 %; ADB, SDB greater in CM+ Lr≥60 %. In CAC, chives reached greater HT, NLP, ADB, SDB and RDB with Lr≥80 %. It is concluded that CM with Lr=100 % and CAC with Lr³80 % were the best treatments, allowing greater plant height and yield.

الأسبانية؛ قشتالية. El riego deficitario es una alternativa que permite el uso racional del agua con un mínimo impacto en la producción. El objetivo fue evaluar la respuesta al riego deficitario controlado del cilantro (Coriandrum sativum L.) sembrado en monocultivo (CM) y en asociación (A) con cebollín (Allium fistulosum L.) (CAC). El diseño experimental fue completamente aleatorizado con cinco repeticiones y arreglo factorial 2x4. Se  aplicaron  cuatro  láminas  de  reposición de agua (Lr): 100, 80, 60 y 40 % de la capacidad del sustrato. A los 50 días de la siembra se midieron: altura del manojo en cilantro y de la macolla en cebollín (AMn, AMc), longitud de raíz (LR), número de plantas por manojo (NPMn), de bulbillos por macolla (NBMc) y hojas por planta (NHP);  y en cada manojo y macolla: biomasa seca aérea, de raíces, por superficie y total (BSA, BSR, BSS, BST), y proporción raíz-parte aérea biomasa seca (PRABS). El análisis mostró diferencias significativas en todas las variables, exceptuando NBMc y PRABS en cebollín. En cilantro, NPMn dependió de Lr; BSR de A; LR, NHP y MHMn de Lr o A; mientras que AMn, BSA, BSS y PRABS de la interacción de Lr con A. AMn fue mayor en CM+Lr=100 %; BSA, BSS mayores en CM+ Lr≥60 %. En CAC, el cebollín alcanzó mayor AMc, NHP, BSA, BSS y BSR con Lr≥80 %. Se concluye que CM con Lr=100 % y CAC con Lr³ 80 % fueron los mejores tratamientos, al promover la mayor altura de planta y mayor rendimiento.
