O Brasil é considerado o segundo maior produtor mundial de soja e o primeiro entre os países emergentes. O manejo da cultura da soja é imprescindível para manter a qualidade da lavoura e alcançar altos rendimentos. Entre os principais fatores que limitam a obtenção de altos rendimentos em soja estão as doenças ocasionadas por fitopatógenos. Considerando a utilização de fungicidas no tratamento de sementes, a fim de evitar possíveis ataques de fungos habitantes do solo, o objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar uma revisão sobre o panorama e perspectivas de uso de biocontrolador a base de Trichoderma, para o manejo de doenças radiculares com ênfase do uso potencial na cultura da soja.

The management of the soybean crop is essential to maintain quality of the crop and to achieve high yields. The diseases caused by plant pathogens are among the main factors limiting the achievement of high yields in soybeans. Considering the use of fungicides on seed treatment to prevent possible attacks by soil-inhabiting fungi, this paper aims to present, a review of the overview and prospects for the use of biocontrol with the antagonist Trichoderma spp for the management of root diseases with emphasis on the potential use of soybean.
