Mancha de Pyrenophora em grãos de aveia : período de suscetibilidade, características bioquímicas dos grãos e influência da época de colheita | Pyrenophora spots on oat kernels : period of suscetibility, biochemical charachteristics of kernels and effect of the harvest

A mancha negra dos grãos de aveia branca, cujo principal agente é Pyrenophora chaetomioides, é caracterizada pelo escurecimento de seus tecidos superficiais e pode ocasionar redução na qualidade e valor dos mesmos para a indústria alimentícia. É possível que características bioquímicas presentes nestes tecidos possam influenciar na resistência ao patógeno. Evidências do papel de componentes bioquímicos constitutivos e induzidos na resistência dependem da demonstração de que estão presentes ou são produzidos em quantidade suficiente, no local e tempo exatos, para inibir a penetração e desenvolvimento do patógeno nos tecidos da semente. Os objetivos deste trabalho foram: i) Conhecer o processo de formação da mancha nos grãos e identificar a época de maior incidência de P. chaetomioides nos componentes florais após a emissão da panícula até a maturação fisiológica;ii) Avaliar os índices de suscetibilidade de 15 genótipos de cultivares de aveia branca à mancha negra e sua correlação com a infecção;iii) Correlacionar a presença de lipase e peroxidase em grãos maduros com a suscetibilidade à P. chaetomioides e formação da mancha. Não houve correlação entre o percentual de grãos não manchados e o nível de infecção (r=- 0,18). O período de suscetibilidade à formação da mancha compreende a fase de grão aquoso até o momento da colheita dos mesmos. Os genótipos selecionados agruparam-se em diferentes níveis de incidência com relação à mancha-negra e infecção, mas não houve correlação entre estas duas variáveis. A análise de grãos maduros dos genótipos selecionados apresentou diferenças significativas nos níveis de peroxidase e lipase, entretanto, não houve correlação significativa com relação à resistência para formação de mancha e infecção. As curvas de atividade da peroxidase durante o desenvolvimento dos grãos também não foram suficientes para separar cultivares com maior e menor nível de resistência.

Darkening of oat kernels, whose main agent is Pyrenophora chaetomioides is characterized by superficial darkening of their tissues and can cause quality and value reduction for the food industry. It is possible that biochemical characteristics present in these tissues can influence on the resistance to the patogen. Evidence of the constitutive biochemical components on resistance depends of the demonstration of their presence or production in enough quantity in the exact place and time for inhibition of the patogen's penetration and development in seed tissue. The objectives of this work were: 1) To determinate the period for formation of grain spot and to identify the time of major incidence of P. chaetomioides in flower components after the emission of panicle, untill phisiologicai maturation.ii) Evaluation of the susceptibility of fifteen oat genotipes to biack spot and its corelation with infection, lii) To Corelate of the presence of lipase and peroxidase in mature grains with susceptibility of P. chaetomioides and spot formation. The corelation between percentual of grains without spots and the levei of infection wasn't significant (r= 0,18). The susceptibility of grains to patogen for spot formation is during the stages of milky grain untili harvest. The analysis of mature grains of selected genotipes showed significant differences in peroxidase and lipase leveis but there was not significant corelation in relation to resistance for spot formation and infection although, few genotipes susceptible to infection and spot formation had peroxidase leveis similar of resistent ones. Also, the peroxidase growth curves during grains development weren't suficient to separate suscetible cultivars of resistent ones.
