Intensidade de sombreamento e cores de telas no desenvolvimento de espécies de Myrtaceae | Shade intensity and screen color on the development of myrtaceae species

A família Myrtaceae tem grande importância econômica, uma vez que os frutos de várias espécies são utilizados na alimentação, além de suas propriedades medicinais e potencial ornamental. O trabalho objetivou estudar as possíveis adaptações morfológicas, fisiológicas e anatômicas de quatro espécies da família Myrtaceae durante o seu desenvolvimento, após serem expostas a seis tipos de sombreamento, em casa de vegetação. O trabalho foi desenvolvido no período de fevereiro de 2012 a fevereiro de 2013, na Estação Experimental Agronômica/UFRGS e as análises do material coletado, realizadas no Departamento de Horticultura e Silvicultura (DHS), Faculdade de Agronomia/UFRGS. O delineamento utilizado foi em blocos ao acaso em esquema de parcelas subdivididas, com quatro repetições. A parcela principal constituiu-se nos tratamentos de telas pretas de 35%, 50% e 80% de intensidade de sombreamento; telas vermelhas de 35% e 50% de intensidade de sombreamento e 0% (sem tela). As subparcelas foram formadas pelas espécies Eugenia uniflora, Myrcianthes pungens, Eugenia pyriformis e Psidium cattleyanum, nas quais foram feitas avaliações morfológicas e fisiológicas da parte aérea e do sistema radicial. Descrições anatômicas de secções foliares transversais destas espécies, também foram realizadas. Com base nos resultados, constata-se que a utilização de tela com intensidade de 50% de sombreamento, preta ou vermelha, provoca resposta de evitação à sombra nas plantas. O tratamento de 80% propicia respostas negativas nas plantas, na maioria dos parâmetros morfológicos avaliados. O sombreamento provoca redução da relação clorofila a/b e aumento dos teores de clorofila total. Há diferenças no acúmulo de substâncias de reserva na parte aérea/raiz de acordo com a espécie. O uso de tela provoca alterações anatômicas nas espécies estudadas, sendo o tratamento de 80% de sombreamento com tela preta o que causa a maior redução da espessura do mesofilo das folhas. Entre as quatro espécies estudadas, o araçazeiro-amarelo destaca-se pelo maior vigor das mudas e o guabijuzeiro pela maior capacidade de aclimatação ao sombreamento.

The Myrtaceae family is of great economic importance since the fruits of the various species are used for fresh consumption and, besides, some of the constituents have medicinal properties and the plants, as well, have an ornamental potential. In the present study the possible morphological adaptations, physiology and anatomics of four species of the family Myrtaceae during its development were investigated after exposure to six types of shadings in greenhouse cultivation. The study was conducted from February 2012 to February 2013 at the Estação Experimental Agronomica/UFRGS and analyses of the collected material were performed in the laboratories of the Departmento de Horticultura e Silvicultura (DHS), Faculdade de Agronomia/UFRGS. The experimentwas conducted in a split-plot randomized blocks design with four replicates. The main factor consisted of black screens in treatments of 35%, 50% or 80% shading intensity, red screens of 35% or 50% shading intensity and a control (no screen). The subplots were formed by species Eugenia uniflora, Myrcianthes pungens, Eugenia pyriformis and Psidium cattleyanum in which assessments were conducted morphological and physiological shoot and root system. Anatomical descriptions of transverse leaf sections were also performed. Based on the results, it appears that the use of the screen with an intensity of 50% shading, black or red, causes the shade avoidance response in plants. The treatment provides 80% negative responses in plants, on the majority of morphological parameters. The shading causes a reduction in the chlorophyll a / b and increased levels of total chlorophyll. There are differences in the accumulation of reserve substances in shoot / root part according to the species. The use of screen causes anatomical changes in the species studied, with the treatment of 80% shading with black screen which causes greater reduction in thickness of the mesophyll of leaves. Among the four species studied, the Psidium cattleyanum stands out with greater vigor and seedling Myrcianthes pungens the increased capacity acclimation to shading.
